#140

Beautiful promises
flow
from those lined
and lacquered
lips, like
honey pours from jars
tipped
on their sides
without lids
sliding
slickly over
counters,
drawers
and cabinets
They dry,
crystallize
like a caramelly
coat of armor
shiny sweetness
hardened
over a sticky,
sticky mess
