#126

November 8, 2011 § 7 Comments

Dear bloggers:
It was the least you could do –
that apology.
I forsook food
and sleep for you
To stay glued to my monitor, just
for you
And you
had the gall
the balls
not to post?
Oh, no
Weren’t you told,
of the requirements
of your responsibility?
Weren’t you informed
that too much genius
could become liability?
Weren’t you warned
that readers’ lives may end
at the hand of your procrastination?
That the blogging world may suffer
without your regular
contamination?
You promised us
a post-a-day
at least,
Believing you
had addicts
to your mediocrity
Teasing us
By promising
more of your banality
Knowing the world stop
surely,
if your insight failed
to be regularly computerized.
At least you had
enough compassion to
finally
apologize
