Technically, this excellent poem is not a metaphor. It is a similie. Similie: “You are like Venus, but with better legs.” Metaphor: “You are Venus with warmer lips.” I always look forward to your poems.
Lol – thanks for your clarification, but I am aware of this! “meeting a metaphor” was the metaphor… the ending was the simile. That’s why “they” are both at the bar!
