Introspection drips in saucers
From the steamy bitter brew
Distilling unused hours
Down rainy window afternoons
Retrospection sweetly seeps
Quietly from its fruited leaves
Weeping over wooden canvas
Leaving lasting rings of acid
Elixir of elapse, I sip
And sentiment still sought is steeped
Remedy for memory, I breathe
The steam that stills the asphalt speed
